With the economy slowing down as it has in 2008, I haven't seen Builders as motivated as this since I started back in 1986 in real estate in Atlanta. In the past Builders would not negotiate with the listed price, but now it's possible to get great deals out there especially in the higher price ranges. They have built too many spec homes out there in many of the golf communities, and now they are having to reduce the prices or offer extra incentives to get the homes sold.
